Storyline

Over 10 years have passed since the first machine called The Terminator tried to kill Sarah Connor and her unborn son, John. The man who will become the future leader of the human resistance against the Machines is now a healthy young boy. However, another Terminator, called the T-1000, is sent back through time by the supercomputer Skynet. This new Terminator is more advanced and more powerful than its predecessor and its mission is to kill John Connor when he's still a child. However, in the Internet and John do not have to face the threat of the T-1000 alone. Another Terminator (identical to the same model that tried and failed to kill Sarah Connor in 1984) is also sent back through time to protect them. Now, the battle for tomorrow has begun. Trivia

When the biker puts his cigar out on the Terminator's chest, the only thing protecting Arnold from being burned was a block and prosthetic skin the size of a dime. See more »

Goofs

(at around 6 mins) When Terminator appears it's obvious the trailer was changed because the repair patches and caution sign on the right door have disappeared along with the license plate. Also, with half the left side tires destroyed, the trailer should be leaning at least a little. See more »

Sarah Connor: [narrating] Three billion human lives ended on August 29th, 1997. The survivors of the nuclear fire called the war Judgment Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare: the war against the machines. The computer which controlled the machines, Skynet, sent two Terminators back through time. Their mission: to destroy the leader of the human resistance, John Connor, my son. The first Terminator was programmed to strike at me in the year 1984, before John was born. It failed. The ...

Alternate Versions

The Ultimate Edition DVD accidentally omits part of the theatrical version: the first 23 seconds of Sarah's dream-recounting tape, which is all in a TV closeup. It starts that scene at the wide shot where Sarah says it's always the same. The more widely available Extreme DVD, which also uses branching, does not have this mistake. The original USA DVD from 1997 included the correct theatrical version as well. See more »

One sequel that out does the original
26 February 2002 | by SmileysWorldSee all my reviews

I am not a big fan of sequels,as most of them disappoint, but T2 certainly does not.In fact,it's a rare case,at least in my opinion, of a sequel actually surpassing the original film in terms of greatness. As in 99.9% of his films,Arnold Schwarzenegger is the good guy once again, but you don't mind once you witness the incredible villain performance of Robert Patrick. This film is nothing short of a beginning to end thrill ride.Let us not forget the talents of Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong, who gave great supporting efforts.Thumbs up!
