    Storyline

    Edit
This movie is supposed to be a sequel to the movie which starred Jean-Claude Van Damme. Only now the movie revolves around the brother of the character that Van Damme played. David Sloan is the brother Van Damme's Kurt Sloan. He runs a Karate gym. Now Mr. Sangha, the Thai government official who handles Tong Po, the brutal kickboxer whom Van Damme in the previous movie, wishes that Tong Po would have another shot at Kurt Sloan, so he could vindicate himself but Tong Po in a fit of rage shot and killed him thus depriving him of an opportunity to face him again. But when they hear of David, they decide that he will be the one whom Tong Po will face to regain his honor. But when David is injured, Xian David's teacher is brought over to help him with his recovery. And when he recovers, they set David up to fight Tong Po; who will survive? —<rcs0411@yahoo.com>

    Edit
    • Trivia
Jean-Claude Van Damme turned down this movie to do Double Impact (1991) instead.
    • Goofs
There is no way Tong Po could have killed Brian in the ring. In reality, after the referee ended the fight and Tong Po elbows him in the gut, the ring would have been swarmed by security but instead he is allowed to casually continue pummeling Brian.
    • Quotes

David Sloan: I tell you what...

[places hands behind his back and leans forward]

David Sloan: You take your best shot.

    • Alternate versions
At the time of its release, there was a longer version which showed Tong Po training and re-fighting Jean-Claude Van Damme's character Kurt Sloane (played by Emmanuel Kervyn this time). By all accounts the fight scenes were better than the actual end-fight, so the scenes containing Kurt, Eric and Xian's niece Mylee were cut down to a few seconds, showing Kurt Sloane with the bullet hole in the head and Tong Po walking away.

Kickboxer 2 a sensational action movie!
Sasha Mithchell makes his best movie for his career, in this sensational peace of material art work, Sasha Mithcell has a great life in America running and living in his gym. Things couldn't get better and also teaching younger kids on how to do kick boxing. This movie is so so thrilling to watch, it keeps you jumping on your seat. The sensational thing about this movie is that he had a very close relationship to his brothers, his brothers got killed in Thiland (Kickboxer 1) by a very vicious jealousy man of Tong-Po, Tongo-Po go beaten by Kirt (Jean-Cluade_Van-Damme) and his jealousy got very high he shot him, as well as his brother. In this great fighting movie, Tong-Po returns and is stronger and more vicious, David Sloan (Sasha Mitchell) had a trainer to help recover his bad injury during the burnt down of a his gym, this trainer was Zian also started in Kickboxer 1 Zian and Tong-Po also didn't have at all! a good friendship, when Tong-Po stars in Kickboxer 2 his first fight was against Davids best friend and he got, I'm not going to tell you! you should rent it first! ☺ This movie will make you believe that you can do anything!
