Trivia

The film began as an adaptation of David Mamet's friend William J. Caunitz's 1986 novel "Suspects". However, the more Mamet wrote, the more his story diverged from the source material until, with Caunitz's blessing, Mamet left the source book behind entirely, until ultimately the script became an original screenplay. All Mamet

Some complain about Mamet's writing and directing but I am unable to ignore his films. Either you like this style or you don't. I would rather watch a Mamet film than eat Rocky Road ice cream ( and that says a lot! ) There are certainly weaknesses in plot and character development here but it is still watchable.
