The song Larry guesses in the pizza parlor "Gimme Some Lovin" was covered by the Blues Brothers, led by his late brother John Belushi. See more »
When Larry goes to the bar in his new office, he picks up a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Scotch and calls it "the good stuff". Johnnie Walker Black is actually only a 12-year old Scotch and is one of the lower quality Scotches in the Johnnie Walker family. It would have been more appropriate to have him pick up a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue which is a 60-year old Scotch. See more »
I admit I have a weakness for alternate history stories, from ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE to GROUNDHOG DAY to 12:01. Among those greats is this little gem. It's pretty difficult to get through MR. DESTINY without giving a nod of appreciation to each and every cast member, from the goodhearted James Belushi to the murderous Courtney Cox. This movie lacks the gravitas and scale to make it a great film, but it's a fine cheer-up on a rainy afternoon. It's also a great rental for an inexpensive date.
