Sex & Nudity

  • A brief sex scene in a car - the car rocks and it is clear from the outside what is going on inside.
  • A teenage girl talks about giving oral sex to her boy friend.
  • A girl on the bus thinks "here I am wishing his hands were unbuttoning my dress".
  • A 15 year old girl thinks she is pregnant although she has only kissed a boy and is still a virgin. She is seen with her feet in stirrups, but no nudity shown. We see only her face as the doctor conducts a brief internal examination.
  • The girl also mentions wanting him to "throw me down and make another Joey Jr."
  • 15 year old girl and 26 year old guy have a non-graphic sex scene, though you see her pain/shock, it being her "first time"
  • An adult female sits up in the bathtub but strategically placed soap bubbles prevent any nudity being seen.
  • A girl talks about her classmate dancing around the shower room naked, shouting about her boyfriend's quivering loins. She also wonders about nun's underwear, including whether they wear any in the shower.
  • A 15 year old girl is seen in the shower. A shower curtain blurs any detail but skin can be seen.
  • A teenage girl walks around in her underwear.
  • A man and woman lay in bed talking after sex. She has dressed and the sheets cover him below the waist.
  • Most of the plot line circles around the teenage girl's coming-of-age sexuality and her mother's promiscuity.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman tells her daughter "If I talk to you right now, I'll kill you."
  • A man tells a woman that he has never wanted to hit a woman as much as he wants to hit her right now.
  • A woman pokes and pushes, then slaps her daughter in the face.
  • The school students, then the adults, hear about the shooting of the president and governor.

  • Mild language (words like bitch, shit, ass, asshole, piss etc) used infrequently.
  • "Oh God", "for Christ's sake", "damn", "goddamn", "hell" are used blasphemously but infrequently.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Adult characters drink and smoke. The alcohol use is always responsible.
  • Teen girls smoke in the toilets at school.
  • A teenaged girl and her pre-teen sister drink alcohol on one occasion, the younger girl clearly drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • None. A very harmless film. All ages welcome.
  • A scene in which a mother slaps her daughter is somewhat frightening.
