Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Overall the whole mini-series can be quite frightening.
  • A Skeleton crawls out of a lake and grabs a boys ankle
  • Scenes with Pennywise the Clown, which are integral to the story, will most likely scare young children.
  • Tiny monster-like creatures ( eyeballs, spiders, crabs etc ) come out of fortune cookies.
  • A character helps a man escape from a psychiatric asylum by turning into a clown with a barking dog's head.
  • A girl is in the bathroom and strange demonic noises from Pennywise are heard coming from the sink drain along with the voice of Georgia pleading for her to save him.
  • A red balloon ascends from the drain and explodes splattering raw blood everywhere
  • A woman visits her old house to fin and an old woman now living there and while they are drinking tea, the women's cup fills with blood and the old woman turns to a demon
  • The library scene can be mildly frightening, but it is mostly concieved by many viewers to be hilarious.
  • The book is much more violent and sexually explicit than the movie, but the movie does manage to carry over the essential horror of the story.
  • The movie used to be a TV miniseries from the 1990's, so it has a very low budget, therefore, any gore or blood or monsters/creatures look very fake and unrealistic, especially the clown's true form at the end of the movie.
