The drug use is pretty strong

Moderate to severe, drugs play a major role in the downfall of some characters.

A man beats his son with belt as punishment while the mother tries to stop him.

Several fatal shootings, stabbings, and beatings are shown with visible blood. This is quite frightening.

The final twenty minutes is particularly intense, taking on a distressing tone that noticeably differs from the rest of the film.

The character of Jimmy Conway is a sociopathic and remorseless criminal, who gets more and more disturbed as the movie goes on.

There are almost no morally good characters in this movie.
