Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Edward is creepy-looking but he turns out to be harmless, gentle and likeable.
  • Overall, despite the creepy but wonderful imagery and some sad moments, this film is suitable for all ages.
  • The appearance of the title character himself may be frightening to some viewers, as he appears as a young man with pale, scarred skin and scissor blades for fingers. Also, speaking of the fingers of his hands, this can even also remind some of Freddy Krueger from the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise because of his clawed glove, which could make Edward even more frightening for some but he is portrayed as a very likeable character.
  • Some parts of story can be quite intense for some viewers because of the way Edward is treated, especially in the climax of the film. The old mansion Edward lived in can be creepy.
  • The ending is very sad, even reaching the depressing state to some audience members.
