The show was based in Toronto, they are a news station that go out filming news worthy stories all the while a romance brewing with the news show director & camera man, Jake.
E. N. G. was a great Canadian evening soap opera chronicling the lives of the staff at the fictional Channel 10 News room in Toronto. Though it had the usual blend of drama/sex/and a ton of characters (some would come and go with no further notice as to what happened to them) it also added in current political and news worthy events, creating a social commentary, thus elevating this series from the hum-drum world of 'who's sleeping with who' to a much more informative and interesting piece. Very entertaining and very well acted (note that most of the main actors on the show appeared in horror films during the slasher hey-dey-and some would go on to even become famous in the American market-a little Victor Garber anyone?). All and all another show that shows that Canada has more to it than hockey, snow and beer (but not much more;)
