Storyline

Serene and laconic, yet powerful and lethal, Dalton is an expert in martial arts and the best professional bouncer in the business. With such a reputation, Dalton is summoned in a small town in Missouri to clean up the sleazy bar called The Double Deuce from the troublemakers who terrorize the customers, without knowing, however, that the villainous local entrepreneur, Brad Wesley, wants things to remain unchanged. As Dalton cleans up the nightclub, and with it, the town from Wesley's hired goons, a deep wound from a knife will inspire a passionate affair with local Dr. Elizabeth "Doc" Clay. Now, the corrupt Wesley has enough reasons to take Dalton out of the way, nevertheless, the bouncer has the final say. Written by Nick Riganas

Trivia

On Family Guy (1998) season eight, episode four, "Brian's Got a Brand New Bag", Peter Griffin bought the "Road House" DVD at a going-out-of-business sale at Quahog Video. After watching the film, Peter begins to believe that all of life's problems can be solved by kicking. After kicking his target, he would say the film's name as a catchphrase of sorts. The episode was dedicated to Patrick Swayze, who had died of pancreatic cancer several weeks before the episode aired. See more »

They don't make them like this anymore.
30 June 2018 | by vcn-09627See all my reviews

This is why I predict the American cinema and studio system will die. Nowadays it is all boring sequels and prequels and univirse films where every woman is an engineer and hates herself and is ashamed of her own body and so hides it. I am stopping my interest in (new) movies now.

Road House has brawny men, nice women, bad women, thin women, available women, fighting, music and rowdiness. And Hollywood if.you.really.really.insist there is a female physician. Happy? And she voluntarily gets on her back on the first date (should give you heart attack right there).
