In an extended scene we see Ursula beat a boy in her 5th grade class until her stick is broken and the child is in severe pain. The child himself was violent before this, wounding Ursula's hand with a stone from a slingshot after school, and then almost hitting her in the face the following day by shooting another stone at her.

There are few scenes involving alcohol and smoking but drugs are not.
