Storyline

Lisa's parents are separated. Like the title says, her father (supposedly) lives in Rio de Janeiro. She often gets letters from him and dreams of visiting him in South America one fine day. However, this is all a major cover-up: the father is actually in a Dutch jail for a very long time. On top of that, her loving grandfather recently passed away, and there's no chemistry whatsoever with her mom's new boyfriend. Lisa can't take it anymore and runs away from home... to Brazil. Very nice

I don't have much to say about this movie, except that it is a nice portrait of a monoparental family and the arrival of someone else in the new "family". But the most important is the little girl, Lisa (played by Wenneke), who really REALLY wants to meet her father, supposedly in Brazil, but unfortunately in jail. I recommend it. It's quite entertaining and it offers a surprising ending!
