A Great Sleazy Thriller With Lots Of Disturbing Moments, And Fantastic Performances!
1 July 2005 | by See all my reviews

This is a great sleazy thriller, with lots of disturbing moments, and fantastic performances!. It's a powerful movie at times, and the villains are sadistic and extremely menacing, plus Charles Bronson is simply amazing in this!. I know critics panned this film saying it was much too sleazy for it's own good, but i found it to be a very effective thriller, that actually shocked me at times. It's very well made, and the finale was great, plus the ending leaves a good message!. It's pretty violent at times, and if you get offended easily don't watch this movie!. This is a typical Bronson flick if your a fan of his movies (like me) then you will love this, if not don't bother it's as simple as that!. This is a great sleazy thriller, with lots of disturbing moments, and fantastic performances!, i highly recommend this one!. The Direction is very good. J. Lee Thompson does a very good job here, with good camera work, nothing fancy, but he kept the film at an engaging pace!. There is a bit of blood and violence. We get quite a few extremely bloody gunshot wounds, rape, lots of disturbing scenes, graphic fall victim, and an extremely gory gutting. The Acting is awesome!. Charles Bronson is AMAZING as always and is amazing here, he is at times sadistic, though strangely likable, had some classic lines, kicked that ass, and really gave a fantastic show! (Bronson Ruled!). Juan Fernández plays one of the most sadistic villains i have ever seen, he was fantastic!, i hated him. James Pax is good with what he had to do, he did disturb me at times though (but that's what he was supposed to do). Amy Hathaway is beautiful and does fine as the daughter. Nicole Eggert is STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS!, and is a great actress, too bad she has barely any screen time. Rest of the cast are fine. Overall i highly recommend this one!. ***1/2 out of 5
