        Desparado, With Alex McArthur

I am a very dedicated fan of the older Desperado Movies, With Alex McArthur, a very good actor, regrettably only four were movies were made, I feel those movies were the most exciting and adventurous. I would be grateful if they were brought back to the western movie channel, I really miss them.

I would like to see more folks that also appreciate it, to please voice there feelings as I am doing.

If you have seen these movies, you would see that they have you sitting on the edge of your seat, and it is so much like the real western life was. So hey everyone. Speak UP. Show your support.

Another good adventure with the Desperado!

In this fourth outing for Alex Mcarthur as the outlaw Duell McCall the story revolves around the hero trying to track down some criminals who steal land & claims by killing the rightful owners. As usual there is plenty of good action sequences with some mighty fanciful shooting! Patricia Charbonneau (Emily) is the raven haired actress who plays the romantic interest in this episode although not much goes on between her and Duell.

If you liked the others in this series of made for television westerns than you will find this one up to the usual high standard. If you like good old fashioned action and adventure with decent story lines this is well worth catching if it is on TV.

        So many things wrong.

In an area of mining and (apparently) cattle ranching, why are so many men just wandering all over town rather than out working? Saddles of the period were pretty plain with high cantles (backs). In the movie they were low backed with Cheyanne rolls. I had no idea Mexican bad guys left their horses tied up all night with their saddles on and cinched up. Nice how the hero runs into the one woman in the territory and she's the hottest female in the west. Why would anyone wear heavy bulky gloves when handling a firearm? And when everyone else is wear light clothing, why does the hero always wear his heavy long coat? When a revolver is fired, the hammer moves forward striking the firing pin. Our hero fires, then somehow physically lowers the hammer. Very strange. I could go on, but you get the idea. There are just so many things wrong with this film, I don't see how some reviewers rate it so high.

        Awesome Movies

I think the 5 movies in the Desperado series are wonderful. They are from the 80's but they are classic. The person that wrote the review pointing out all the things wrong...yes I'm sure there's lots of things wrong in a lot if movies. If the movie/show has an interesting plot and keeps you entertained...what doesit matter? So, if you want to watch a movie that has great actors, an interesting plot and is good entertainment then watch one or all of the Desperado movies **********
