This show is a spin-off of "Who's the Boss?" Charlie Briscoe is a friend of Samantha Micelli's, who needs a new home. Trish Carlin is a friend of Angela's who runs a modeling agency for teens in New York City. Charlie becomes Trisha's new project *and* headache.
This series began on an episode of WHO'S THE BOSS. In the episode, Charlie, an old friend of BOSS regular, Samantha played by Alyssa Milano, was visiting her. It was eventually revealed that her mother had disowned her; it turns out that another BOSS regular, Angela, had an old friend, Trish Carlin, visiting her. Trish is a modelling agent who specializes in teenagers. Unlike other agents who works their models and doesn't care about them beyond that, Trish makes sure that they continue their education so she offers Charlie a job and lets her stay at her house along with four other girls. Also living there is her son Charlie who is feeling a little hostile towards the discipline that Trish is enforcing on her and acts up every now and then. In the end Charlie realizes that Trish only wants what's best for her. Eventually, Michael learned who plays Trish was replaced. At the end of the story, Trish was off on a business trip, so her sister, played by Marion Ross, was looking after her house, her son, and the girls.
