Shown on bad movie channels as "Spies, Lies and Alibis"
11 January 2018 | by See all my reviews

If every scene weren't filled with Sir Lankans I'd wear this was filmed in Toronto. So much bad acting and hack directing. Cheap sets. Studio-recorded dialogue that barely matches the movement of the actors' mouths. SCTV movie spoofs had better production values and they were working on a budget of approximately zero dollars. This is one of those C-grade movies that used to run in heavy rotation on Canadian cable TV's Superchannel back in the day when people were do desperate for something other than Beachcombers on CBC and Marketplace on CTV that they'd pay extra for lousy movies you wouldn't be caught dead going to a theatre to watch. If this really was filmed in Sri Lanka it must be because the Sri Lankan government under-wrote the entire production while a bunch of Canadian dentists got big tax write-offs for investing in a complete dog. In which case the only ones who come out of this looking good are the accountants.
