Sex & Nudity

  • Hulce and Liotta can both be seen in their briefs, but the scene doesn't last long and it's not of a sexual nature.
  • Liotta and Curtis share a brief non-explicit love scene. Hulce and Liotta share a shower that reveals nothing, but both actors are clearly nude.

Violence & Gore

  • A couple brief scenes involving guns and people being threatened. One scene of a man in a phone booth who gets the window punched in, and gets cut and bleeds. Two hospital scenes involving blood and injuries. Animal killed.

  • One punctuated use of the word "fuck".

  • Some drinking; Dominick and his friend Larry get very drunk, with reprecussions following.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Very, very, very emotionally intense film, especially for pre-adolescents. Scenes involving a child in danger/being abused, a baby's kidnapping, emotional abuse/violence, etc. Film does an outstanding job conveying gritty milieu.
