Matt Hawkes leads a unique group of law-enforcement officers, the High Mountain Rangers, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Lake Tahoe. The Rangers rescue people in trouble and catch criminals, often with the help of Matt's brother, Cody, and father, former Ranger Jesse Hawkes. Written by Dorothy Nelder <dnelder@umd.umich.edu>
Alright, here is what we had...
Mountain scenery, family bonding, action/adventure, and a good cast.
High Mountain Rangers was short lived but a fun show to watch. The idea of watching a law enforcement/search and rescue program was both nostalgic and "Ahead of it's time". The program had elements from shows like "emergency" with the search and rescue plots, and the action of "SWAT" when doing law enforcement plots. Ontop of which, the family element of Robert Conrad and his sons really made the show more enjoyable.
I haven't seen an episode since it last aired, but I do believe that this show had elements to appeal to almost any viewer.
I recommend this show...if reruns of it can ever be found.
