When Jack's mother comes to visit Mary, you can see in the background what appears to be a little boy standing in front of a window. There is a rumor that this is the ghost of a little boy who died in the apartment in which the film was shot. This rumor is false, as the interiors were all shot on a sound stage in a movie studio. The "ghost" is actually a cardboard cut-out of Jack wearing a tuxedo. This prop appears later in the film, when Mary's mother comes to collect her. Some argue that "it's smaller" or "it's dressed differently", but close examination reveals that it really is the cardboard prop. See more »
Feel her teeth.
The druggist said you can tell how old she is by feeling her teeth.
I'm not gonna feel her teeth, YOU feel her teeth!
[Peter wets and cleans his finger, then sticks it in Mary's mouth]
I can't feel anything.
What does that mean?
It means she doesn't have any damn teeth!
Well, neither did Gabby Hayes and he was 90, so what?

They changed her diapers. She changed their lives!
The father of a child is overseas shooting a film, completely unaware of the fact that he's even a daddy! Silvia, his love, doesn't know this, and she leaves his child, only a few months old, at his doorstep, where the three bachelors were originally staying at. Along with the charming infant is a little note, explaining to Jack, the father, what is going on. IF ONLY HE WAS THERE TO READ AND BE THERE WITH THE KID! ( Sighs) So it's just Michael and Peter to tend to the baby, taking care of little Mary until Jack gets back. Neither of these two are going to be happy about this, but one thing is for sure....this little baby is disrupting their lives, but gradually winning her way into their hearts. Along the way are some hilarious mishaps, a slight kidnapping, and even a drug deal gone completely wrong! ( And you thought it was just diapers and bottles, I'd suppose!?) 3 Men and a Baby was a hoot, directed by Leonard Nimoy himself, and tackles the throes and misadventures of parenting in general. How will all of this end for three guys with completely different occupations, and how while the mother of the child cope with them all? Only time will tell in this delightful 1987 comedy!
