Storyline

Debi D'Angelo is the young songwriter/musician who joins a rock group and dreams of success - until she wakes up to the price she has to pay for success. Niles Dresden is the charming and treacherous rock star who is out to steal her heart and her music. All his brother Harry Spiros can do is to hang around and pick up the pieces when he commits suicide. While her life looks exciting and glamorous on stage, behind the scenes Debi is fighting for her father's love and approval. And at the same time, she is fighting a losing battle against the drugs that are claiming her brother's life. Finally, her hope and courage find their way into her music - and into the hearts of the audience who love her. Written by Charter Entertainment

Not a very good flick...despite Jewel Shepard's presence
4 May 2000 | by newnoirSee all my reviews

I only rented this because one of my fave b-movie actresses, Jewel Shepard, has a part in it. Its yer basic story of a girl trying to make it in the 1980's New Wave rock and roll scene in L.A. The script is dull, the movie is under lit, and they have a whole subplot with the main character's roommate that serves absolutely no purpose. There are a couple of not half bad 80's rock numbers that I liked, other than that, skip this film. For die hard Jewel Shepard fans only.
