Somehow, I managed to make it to adulthood without seeing the Scream movies. Well, kind of. There are certain films and TV series that, even if you try and avoid them, still seep into the social consciousness – and, by extension, into your brain.

I’ve never sat down and watched an episode of Seinfeld and yet somehow I know all of the characters’ names, and that one of them eats chocolate bars with a knife and fork. Friends who have never seen Forrest Gump still know that, apparently, “life is like a box of chocolates” – and when I finally

Hugh Grant & Josh Hartnett Join Ever Expanding Cast for Guy Ritchie's New Thriller
Guy Ritchie is reportedly looking to reunite with The Gentlemen star Hugh Grant for his next project, the currently untitled action thriller formerly known as Five Eyes, starring macho man Jason Statham and Parks and Recreation alumni Aubrey Plaza. While the deal is not yet done, Grant has found much success working with Ritchie in the past, receiving unanimous praise from both critics and audiences alike for his portrayal of the charmingly amoral private investigator, Fletcher in 2019's The Gentlemen.

Alongside Hugh Grant, Penny Dreadful star Josh Hartnett has also reportedly joined proceedings for the project, which was previously shopped to buyers at the Toronto Film Festival as Five Eyes. Should Hartnett join Five Eyes, this would not only mark his biggest movie role in nigh-on a decade, but also his second collaboration with both director Guy Ritchie and star Jason Statham, with the actor already joining the pair for Wrath of Man,

Jrr Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings': 15 Facts About ‘Fellowship of the Ring’ (Photos)
The ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy hit that increasingly rare sweet spot between the critics and the box office, combining to win 30 Oscars and gross $2.9 billion worldwide. To this day, it remains a landmark series that revitalized fantasy in pop culture and introducting J.R.R. Tolkien to a new generation. In celebration of its 15th anniversary, here are 15 facts about “The Fellowship of the Ring.”

Peter Jackson almost didn’t get the chance to turn “Lord of the Rings” into a movie series. Back in the 60s, the Beatles wanted to adapt “Lotr” themselves, with Paul McCartney as Frodo, Ringo Starr as Sam, George Harrison as Gandalf, John Lennon as Gollum, and Stanley Kubrick as director. Thankfully, Kubrick declined the project, instead going on to make “2001: A Space Odyssey.” Then Tolkien, who still had the film rights to his books, shut down the project for good.

When pitching the film to various studios,

‘Land’ Trailer: Robin Wright Retreats From One Wilderness Into Another In Her Directorial Debut
Robin Wright has certainly made her mark in front of the camera. Star Wars Fans Pay Tribute To Darth Vader Actor David Prowse

Star Wars Fans Pay Tribute To Darth Vader Actor David Prowse
James Earl Jones may have lent his sonorous tones to Darth Vader’s iconic booming voice, but the onscreen performance itself came from former bodybuilder David Prowse. Legend has it that he didn’t know his lines would be dubbed over until he’d seen A New Hope for the first time, and it seems hilarious at this stage to imagine the most fearsome villain in the galaxy sporting the actor’s thick Bristol accent.

Following Prowse’s death at the age of 85, tributes have been pouring in from every corner of the internet. While Star Wars will rightfully define his career, there were many more strings to his bow. After making his big screen debut as Frankenstein’s Creature in the 1967 spoof version of James Bond novel Casino Royale, the newcomer quickly cornered a wide open gap in the market looking for very tall and physically imposing people to play various creatures and monsters.

Recasting The Characters Of Beetlejuice (If It Was Made Today)

Recasting The Characters Of Beetlejuice (If It Was Made Today)
In the more than 30 years since Beetlejuice was released, it's become increasingly clear Tim Burton's film has made a cultural impact, with fans easily able to quote every line, despite the bizarre, kitschy, horror-comedy being a tremendous risk in the late '80s. Fans have been enamored by its kooky aesthetic, hilarious ensemble cast, and infectious music for decades, and just like with The Princess Bride, have come to feel it could never be remade.

Screenwriter Migizi Pensoneau Suggests Vital, Funny and Beautiful Films to Watch for Native American Heritage Month
I could, and sometimes do, wax philosophical, intellectual, and academic about the Native films I enjoy. But that sort of analysis can get pretty boring, and saps what I love about movies. I watch to be entertained! I don’t necessarily want to ponder the state of my Native being when I’m just trying to watch stuff blow up on screen. I prefer bombast and popcorn. Put it this way: instead of seeing “Thunderheart” in theaters, I saw “Wayne’s World” a third time toward the end of its cinematic run.

Growing up when I did, I became a consumer byproduct of early MTV, HBO, and “Skinemax” access, of USA network action flicks and Nick at Night reruns. If I took note of Native cinema (or more accurately Natives In cinema) back then, it was when they weren’t being obviously Native: Graham Greene in “Die Hard with a Vengeance,
