It's a shame !
15 August 2000 | by MarioBSee all my reviews

That movie was made at a time, in Quebec, when it was very good to say that all the catholic priest of our past were monsters! So, here comes a movie about legendary frère André, a little brother of Montreal who was an idol to many generations of French Canadian because of his faith in god and Saint-Joseph and because he had a certain power to cure sick people. Who wants to see that in the 1980's? So the movie was a box office flop! And it's a shame because it is a wonderful little movie, with great creativity by the director and an amazing performance by Marc Legault. It could have deserve more succes and I hope that people will discover this film for just what it is : a very creative piece of work.
