Storyline

In the year 2011, Charles Russell dies in a hovercraft accident and finds himself in the high spiritual palace of Saint Peter. Since Charles is too good for hell and too bad for heaven, he is given the chance to return to the present to assist his younger self, Chazz, in making better decisions at critical junctures in his life in order to redeem himself. In turn, Saint Peter, who grades Charles' progress in his attempt to grow into a new man the second time around, watches over him like a hawk. Written by George Krieger <gkrieg1@tigger.cc.uic.edu>

Heart vs Debauchery
20 May 2007 | by datalorevSee all my reviews

The first version of this show was more family TV where the second incarnation of this show was raunchy TV. It tried to ride the coattails of Married With Children with its edginess, but it had no creativity. I liked the original version better when it had heart.

The first version of this show was about an angel trying to earn his wings by helping a young boy. This was a FOX show that aired in the network's infancy. FOX was trying to find its niche in the market. When FOX realized that its demographics were teenagers, it changed the setup of this show. It dropped the angel totally and made it a racy show in the vein of Married with Children. Neither versions did well so they dropped the show after one season.
