Storyline

In this sitcom, Ben Coleman was a mystery writer while his girlfriend Laura Kelly was a caterer with her younger sister Jane. Richard and Linda Phillips were a high-powered yuppie couple; he was in the family patio-furniture business and she was a studio executive. Linda's employer at World Wide Studios was Cooper Hayden, who eventually became infatuated with Jane. Geneva was the Phillips' wisecracking, sexy maid who sometimes fraternized with the sisters. Richard later quit his job to become a professional pianist, while Linda lost her job at World Wide Studios. Written by Anonymous

User Reviews

Slight, but charming sitcom in need of re-discovery
26 November 2003 | by cfisanickSee all my reviews

"Duet," a unique little sitcom dealing with the ups-and-downs of love and courtship on a date-by-date basis, benefited from some sharp writing and likable leads, especially Ms. Keller, who never achieved success commensurate with her talent. I wholeheartedly agree that someone, anyone, should rerun this or put it out on a DVD. (The less said about the spin-off "Open House," the better.) It would take a hard heart indeed not to be captivated by this buried treasure.
