Storyline

Danny, Spikes and Silk have just recently graduated from high school in New York. Danny finds a title deed for a huge house in a small town. He has a dream to turn it into a Rock n' Roll hotel. The townspeople though are not very welcome to the New Yorkers. With a little help from an aging stockbroker, a local girl, and the "stockholders" (friends from New York), they are able to help Danny pursue his dream. Written by Pat McCurry <ccgrad97@aol.com>

Trivia

Inspired by the boyhood experiences of Harvey Weinstein and Bob Weinstein, the story is partly based on Harvey's stint at the Century Theater in Buffalo, New York. In 1974, he purchased the facility with a friend named Horace "Corky" Burger, and ran it as a rock and roll venue until its 1978 demolition. See more »

Spontaneous Choreographed Dancing Anyone??
13 June 2008 | by emuloverSee all my reviews

Let me just set the scene. The kids are beginning to fix up an old hotel. They look pretty bored while they're sawing and hammering and whatnot. THEN, one of them throws in a Sister Sledge tape. First the black kid starts doing a little air guitar with his broom. Harmless enough. Then the two guys sawing logs start to feel the music and get looks on their faces like "Oh yeah, I can dig that!" And then, and then, it happens....SPONTANEOUS CHOREOGRAPHED DANCING. Wow was that a treat! And to top it all off, the token old guy who is helping them tilts his body back and gives shrieks of ecstasy right in sync with the music! And that is the movie as far as I'm concerned.
