James Franco movies: 15 greatest films, ranked worst to best, include ‘127 Hours,’ ‘The Disaster Artist,’ ‘Milk’
Season 2 of “The Deuce” is now debuting on HBO. The series stars James Franco, who also produces the program and directs some episodes. He has developed a pretty notable resume since he first came to audience’s attention on the low rated but highly acclaimed TV series “Freaks and Geeks.”

A year after that NBC show ended, Franco found fame in a highly praised TV biography of James Dean for which he won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy award. That success led Franco to a film career which has run the gamut from superhero blockbusters to Oscar nominated prestige films.

It hasn’t all been a smooth ride for Franco though. In 2010 he should have been at the peak of his profession since he had just received his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor for the film “127 Hours.” Unfortunately for Franco, he agreed to act

‘The Jerry Springer Show’ Ending Production; Reruns To Air On CW This Fall

  • Deadline
It appears to be the end of an era for The Jerry Springer Show. NBCUniversal’s syndicated daytime tabloid talker has stopped production of new episodes, at least for now, and will air pre-taped episodes and reruns in a move to The CW this fall.

Under a multi-year deal, the CW could order new episodes in the future, in which case the show would go back into production. But for now production has ceased. Fellow talkers Maury and The Steve Wilkos Show were recently renewed.

Hosted by former politician Springer, The Jerry Springer Show debuted in 1991 and became synonymous with “trash TV” with its controversial and sensational topics, its in-your-face confrontational style and on-set brawls. The series soared in ratings, reaching its peak in 1997-1998 when it beat The Oprah Winfrey Show. The series has aired more than 3,800 episodes in its 28-season run.

Broadcasting & Cable first reported the news.

'Roseanne' Star Roseanne Barr Once Accused Her Parents of Incest, Then Regretted It

Roseanne, which returned to ABC after more than two decades off the air, presents a TV family that's dysfunctional but also happy and loving. It's apparently a stark departure from star Roseanne Barr's actual family life. The Emmy-winning actress once accused her parents of incest, and while she later expressed regret over those claims, she didn't exactly take them back. A post shared by Roseanne Barr (@officialroseannebarr) on Dec 16, 2017 at 12:22pm Pst In 1991, near the height of her sitcom's popularity, Roseanne opened up about her upbringing in an interview with People. Daytime Emmys 2018: Will ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ extend its record with an 11th victory for Best Talk Show?

Daytime Emmys 2018: Will ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ extend its record with an 11th victory for Best Talk Show?
When the 2018 Daytime Emmy nominations were announced on March 21 “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” was the top talk show with 11 bids. That may turn out to be a lucky number for the syndicated series as it’s looking for its 11th overall victory for Best Talk Show. That would extend the record it set last year when it won for the 10th time, surpassing the nine victories that “The Oprah Winfrey Show” racked up between 1987 and 1997 before Winfrey stopped submitting her series for consideration. But while “Ellen” has been a dominant force in daytime TV over the last 15 years, we’ve seen that it’s not unbeatable.

“Ellen” was indomitable early on, debuting in 2003 and winning Best Talk Show for its first four years in a row (2004-2007). But then the television academy split the category in two, distinguishing between entertainment shows like “Ellen” and informative shows like “The Doctors” and “The Chew.
