    • Trivia
Over the course of the seven series, four actors who would play the Doctor in Doctor Who (1963) appeared, Patrick Troughton, Sylvester McCoy, David Tennant and Peter Capaldi. Former series writer and director Peter Grimwade also wrote the episode The Come-Uppance of Captain Katt (1986) as a thinly-veiled parody of Doctor Who (1963) which drew upon his experiences behind the scenes.
