      Oliver Reed played the role of Doyle Lonnegan, which he turned down in The Sting (1973). Robert Shaw was cast instead.
    • Goofs
      Both times that Hooker rides the Coney Island roller coaster, his cap stays neatly in place, on his head, for the entire ride. In reality, that type of coaster can reach speeds of 60-70mph. His cap should've blown off during the first drop.

    Not nearly as good as the original
    The first movie is a masterpiece. This movie isn't as bad as to have a zero percent on rotten tomatoes. I enjoyed the new characters and the con has a nice twist at the end. Terri Garr and Jackie Gleason are really good. The story is decent and it's a fun popcorn film.
