CHARMING IRISH GEM
10 February 2002 | by See all my reviews

the early rural setting of clare begins this irish movie, which truly displays 50's ireland.from here we see two young friends as they journey through there teenage years from making it to the strict convent school, where they later find themselves being expelled to there journey to dublin to discover work, love and pregnancy, finally leaving ireland to make it, in the bright lights of london.a simple but effective tale of despair, friendship, love and hope.a witty and fairly well scripted piece of film keep an eye for the younger sam neill the love interest of one of the girls
