The X-Men movie timeline spans over two decades, showcasing battles between mutants and their enemies in multiple timelines. Different timelines in X-Men movies create a complex viewing experience for fans trying to understand in-universe events. The original X-Men films led to a wider cinematic universe, eventually using X-Men: Days of Future Past to reset the timeline.
The X-Men movie timeline, over two decades and almost a dozen releases, told the battle between mutants and those who wish to destroy, charting from the very early days of humanity to multiple possible annihilations. To make it even grander, this takes place over multiple diverging timelines, and is set to grow yet more detailed as the plot of Deadpool & Wolverine combines the Fox and MCU movie timeline together.
The original X-Men films were the first real attempt to build a wider cinematic universe, although they started out as a simple trilogy of superhero blockbusters.

Dragon Ball Z's Goku is known for his incredible transformations and stellar Saiyan strength, but he's also responsible for some insightful advice. It's easy to get lost in Dbz's exaggerated chaos and spectacles. However, the people on the opposite sides of these energy blasts and the values they represent matter most.
Goku is a well-defined character who isn't embarrassed to wear his heart on his sleeve. Goku speaks his mind, which can sometimes be remarkably naive, but his core values never waver. Goku's courageous words of wisdom help punctuate some of Dragon Ball Z's most memorable moments.

Class is in session, and it looks like it’s going to stay that way for the foreseeable future, as ABC has made moves to renew its award-winning comedy series Abbott Elementary for a fourth season just days after Season 3 launched with a two-episode premiere. Networks typically only make a huge decision like this so early in a new season when they’re betting on a sure thing and, judging by the accolades from not only fans but critics that the Quinta Brunson-created project has earned over its first two seasons, no other title is more deserving. The news came straight from Mr. Johnson’s (William Stanford Davis) mouth when he broke the exciting update at the 2024 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour.

As the ’80s came to a close, so too did the first wave of the slasher cycle. While they would continue to be produced into the next decade, 1989 was the last gasp of a dying genre. Returning franchises and hopeful upstarts alike struggled to make an impact. We all know you can never really kill a slasher, but it would take Scream‘s reinvention of the concept in 1996 to renew broad interest.
Cutting Class, another ’89 entry in the subgenre, marked the directorial debut — and, as it turned out, sole directorial effort — from Rospo Pallenberg, who notably co-wrote Excalibur, contributed uncredited rewrites on Exorcist II: The Heretic, and served as a “creative associate” on Deliverance. Despite his pedigree, Pallenberg did not write the script; that was the work of Steve Slavkin, who would go on to create Nickelodeon’s pivotal series Salute Your Shorts.

MCU star Tatiana Maslany doesn't think a second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will happen due to budgetary reasons. Although She-Hulk: Attorney at Law season 2 is uncertain, there are still opportunities for Jennifer Walters' She-Hulk to return in future MCU projects. Jessica Gao had plans for a second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and the show was set up perfectly for it, but it's more likely She-Hulk will return in the McU's future theatrical releases.
Tatiana Maslany, star of Marvel Studios' She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, has provided a disappointing update for the potential of a second season of the MCU legal comedy series. Released in 2022, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law saw Bruce Banner's cousin, Jennifer Walters, exposed to the Hulk's blood, which transformed her into the more controlled and fourth-wall-breaking She-Hulk. ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ was one of the most anticipated MCU series, but it faced mixed reception upon release for valid reasons. Firstly, despite each episode costing around $25 million, totaling $225 million, the show’s CGI effects were lackluster. While it’s understandable for the whole character to be CGI, She-Hulk often looked out of place.
The second major criticism focused on the writing. Despite featuring cameos, jokes, mindless fun, and meta-humor, the series struggled with a vapid and flat storyline that contributed little to the broader MCU. The inclusion of a twerking scene also sparked divided opinions.
Rumors about a second season for ‘She-Hulk’ circulated in the summer of 2023, with some suggesting development would start after the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike. This raised eyebrows, considering that other better-received series with more content had not received a second season. The desire for more ‘She-Hulk’ seemed somewhat far-fetched in comparison.

Anime heroes owe their success to loyal teachers who push them to improve, creating powerful emotional moments. Teaching in anime goes beyond academics, with fighting teachers as common as schoolteachers in action-oriented anime. The relationships between mentors and students in anime, such as Kaede and Inuyasha, Koro-sensei and Class 3-e, and All Might and Deku, shape the entire series and lead to significant character growth.
Anime contains some of the most powerful and impressive heroes in fiction - but few of them would have gotten anywhere without loyal teachers pushing them to improve. The guidance of such capable teachers has allowed iconic anime heroes to thrive and reach their full potential, even to the point of surpassing their mentors. These relationships have also created many memorable emotional moments.

Russell T Davies is addressing past mistakes in Doctor Who. He is expanding the Doctor Who franchise with new spinoffs, such as the rumored "The War Between The Land & The Sea." The spinoff has the opportunity to give better treatment to the Sea Devils by exploring deeper mythology and creating a more threatening presence.
Russell T Davies is working through Doctor Who one mistake at a time - especially if reports regarding the franchise's next spinoff are accurate. Rtd's Doctor Who return has not been the smooth ride that was expected following the tumult of Chris Chibnall's time as showrunner. Everything from Davros' redesign to singing goblins has prompted division, and that's before even getting to Doctor Who's bi-generation twist. The worst thing that could possibly happen to a Doctor Who fan is for the show to be cancelled again. Or for it to be broadcast again. Depends who you ask, really.
Despite the advent of the 15th Doctor and the anticipation that brings, there are nagging doubts abroad concerning the show’s future. And that’s fair enough, really. Some fans are just naturally pessimistic, some remember previous crushed hopes around Doctor Who’s wilderness years, and some just look at the state of TV streaming and feel that pessimism is a fairly realistic outlook. It’s also not unreasonable to be concerned that David Tennant is kicking around somewhere, especially given that it was raised by the host during Gatwa’s recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

In Classroom of the Elite, Ayanokoji's time with Class 1-d at the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School turns into a constant test, to say the least. After all, only the cleverest and brightest students can hope to make it into Class A, though some -- Koji included -- would prefer not to be at the top of their class for their own personal reasons.
Those who do aspire to reach the top of their class in Classroom of the Elite are soon to learn that being an elite student is about much more than just study habits and book smarts. A person has to be well-rounded in every aspect of their life -- both mentally and physically -- if they want to excel above everyone else. It was reported last month that Nicholas Hoult would be playing Lex Luthor in Superman: Legacy, but writer/director James Gunn didn’t initially comment on the casting as he has in the past.
James Gunn has finally broken his silence on Instagram, explaining that he hadn’t said anything until now because Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor deal wasn’t officially finalized until just a few days ago. Time to break out the razor.

Martin Scorsese has cancelled his trip to the Marrakech International Film Festival at the eleventh hour, which he was due to attend as the special honorary guest of its 20th edition.
The director is a long-time supporter of the Moroccan festival, attending it five times since its creation in 2021.
He is also a close friend of its director Mélita Toscan du Plantier, who has been a driving force behind the event ever since the sudden death in 2003 at the Berlin Film Festival of her husband Daniel du Plantier, who founded the festival.
No reason was given for the last minute cancellation but sources close to the festival said the director had remained at home in New York for personal reasons.
As well as participating in this year’s 20th edition celebrations, Scorsese had also agreed to take on the role of patron of the sixth edition of the Atlas Workshops.

Showrunner Russell T Davies aims to make all Doctor Who content available in one place, including spin-offs, to highlight the expansive universe of the show. The opening sequence reflects Davies' ambitions for Doctor Who's future, positioning it as a multimedia franchise that can rival the likes of the MCU and Star Wars.

Tales of the Tardis is an official Doctor Who spinoff that combines new scenes with classic episodes, featuring returning actors speaking in-character. The spinoff takes a relaxed approach to canon and may not neatly fit into the Doctor Who universe like previous spinoffs, resembling Marvel's What If...? in terms of being canon-adjacent. Tales of the Tardis marks the beginning of Doctor Who's Whoniverse, hinting at more spinoffs in development, making it the perfect introduction for viewers unfamiliar with the past 60 years of the show.
Tales of the Tardis will officially cut the ribbon on Doctor Who's Whoniverse, but - somewhat predictably, given the show's infamously complex continuity - where the spinoff sits within Doctor Who canon remains murky. With Russell T Davies' return as showrunner, a Disney+ deal in place, and a 60th anniversary celebration on the horizon, an expansion of the Doctor Who franchise looked as inevitable as Rose and Mickey's breakup.

Blast, the S-Class Rank 1 hero, is considered one of the most powerful characters in the One Punch Man universe. Despite limited appearances in the anime, Blast's absence from S-Class emergency meetings and ability to come and go as he pleases suggest he is immensely powerful. The fight with Elder Centipede reveals that only the most powerful heroes can stun and harm the monster, implying that Blast is stronger than most other heroes in the series.
One Punch Man is set in a universe where powerful superheroes with extraordinary powers are commonplace. While Saitama, the titular One Punch Man, is clearly the strongest hero by a wide margin, in both One Punch Man and anime in general, fans are split on whom the second strongest is—especially as there is a wide variety of characters to choose from, all with unique abilities that are tricky to compare directly. Matthew Vaughn believes that a good superhero movie needs to be grounded and relatable to make audiences believe in the characters and story, without relying too heavily on CGI. Vaughn has high hopes for James Gunn and Saffron's leadership at DC Studios, as well as Kevin Feige returning to a "less is more" approach at Marvel Studios. Vaughn plans to reboot the Kick-Ass franchise and make Kingsman 3, with a new direction for Kick-Ass and a storyline in the Kingsman universe focusing on the rise of Hitler and English aristocracy. Fans can expect his new movie, Argylle, to release in February 2024.

All 800 preserved episodes of Doctor Who, dating back to the show's debut in 1963, will be available on BBC iPlayer for the first time ever. Star Trek: Lower Decks showrunner Mike McMahan has called on fans to watch and exhibit vocal support for the Paramount+ series to ensure it returns for more seasons.

Netflix India has released some really good content this year, and the most prominent show from the streaming giant is Kohrra. Other than this Punjab based Netflix India Original; Class, Friday Night Plan, Choona, Guns & Gulaabs, and Jaane Jaan are some of the latest additions to the Netflix India lineup. Khufiya, directed by the famous Vishal Bharadwaj, is a new inclusion that, by the looks of it, is a spy thriller set in post-liberalization India. Vishal Bharadwaj also dropped a whodunnit web series Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of the Solang Valley, and we think the filmmaker is on a roll to be coming out with back-to-back work that will further diversify his filmography.

Even though the Screen Actors Guild strike is not officially over, negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) are on the verge of bringing this whole debacle to an end. In the meantime, the Hollywood machine is starting to crank back to full power with the Writers Guild of America officially back at work. Though members of SAG continue to strike, there are some productions allowed to return to work under SAG-AFTRA's Network Code. That's why late night talk shows with Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Seth Meyers and more returned this week, and soon "Saturday Night Live" will join their ranks.

Last year, Tommy Hilfiger returned to New York Fashion Week in Brooklyn after a three-year hiatus — and hasn’t taken the foot off the gas since. This year, head honcho Tommy Jacob Hilfiger and Sza hosted a brunch to celebrate the brand’s Fall 2023 campaign, which stars the Grammy-winner, her mother Audrey Rowe, her father Abdul Mubarak-Rowe, her niece Savannah Rowe, and other friends.
The brand’s new campaign emphasizes family and familial bonds, something Hilfiger tells Rolling Stone he didn’t want to fake or force this time around.

Deadpool 3 has the opportunity to rectify the wasted potential of Darwin's character from X-Men: First Class by bringing him back in a new MCU setting. Set photos from Deadpool 3 hint at Deadpool and Wolverine exploring the wilderness, which creates the chance for Darwin to return, showcasing his survival abilities. Deadpool 3 could make Darwin's mutation even more powerful, potentially allowing him to jump from the dying Fox Marvel universe into the MCU to ensure his own survival. Marvel Studios would benefit from showcasing an underappreciated X-Men character like Darwin in their films.
One failed character from Fox's X-Men franchise could be given the perfect redemption if they return in Marvel Studios' upcoming Deadpool 3. After Fox's superhero franchise had begun to falter with X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the studio chose to reboot the series with the 1960s-set X-Men: First Class. In an upcoming video, we will be looking at the modern genre classic Vfw. I say genre because while my wife astutely pointed out that the drugged-up gang in Vfw kind of act like rage zombies and the movie has that great over the top gore and characters, its not really horror. Its gritty action like the movie that inspires it, Assault on Precinct 13. Genre encompasses multiple things like horror, exploitation, and any other type of movie that just has that feel to it. While today’s movie isn’t horror, though it does have situations that would be scary in real life, it is genre. It’s school-ploitation at its finest and has a pedigree both in front...

It was also Who’s first spinoff since Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures ended in late 2011. Unlike its predecessors, when Class premiered on BBC Three it was met with mixed reviews from critics and an extremely unflattering viewership. At a time when Doctor Who was slipping away from the public eye, and with the BBC having just made the controversial decision to move BBC Three exclusively online,...
