Country Gold - Based in Reality?
10 April 2007 | by LadyRLRSee all my reviews

I thought that this was an interesting movie. I get the feeling that it is based, at least loosely, on Dolly Parton, but I have never heard anyone say that specifically.

The lead character is a famous blonde country singer who is up for an award. Another singer who is nominated for the same award tries to steal her fame (as well as her husband) by manipulating situations to her advantage.

Loni Anderson and Earl Holiman did a fine job in this movie. I remember seeing this on television some years ago, although I have not seen it recently.
