Storyline

Marshal W.T. O'Niel is assigned to a mining colony on Io, one of Jupiter's moons. During his tenure miners are dying - usually violently. When the marshal investigates he discovers the one thing all the deaths have in common is a lethal amphetamine-type drug, which allows the miners to work continuously for days at a time until they become "burned out" and expire. O'Niel follows the trail of the dealers, which leads to the man overseeing the colony. Now O'Niel must watch his back at every turn, as those who seek to protect their income begin targeting him... Goofs

When O'Niel finds the corpse in the zero-G cell, blood is shown dripping upwards. In real zero gravity, the blood would be propelled in whichever direction it was forced out of the body. With a corpse, it would simply stay in the body. See more »

Quotes

Marshal William T. O'Neil: Hey, Sheppard. Guess what I just found in a meat locker.
Station Manager Sheppard: Y'know, I have a feeling that you'll tell me even if I don't guess.
Marshal William T. O'Neil: 250 pounds of hamburger named Yario that works for you. I also found your shipment of PDE. So, I threw the hamburger in the jail, and the PDE in the toilet. Or was it the other way around? I can't remember now.

User Reviews

not underrated, but rather ignored
10 August 2004 | by smartfashSee all my reviews

I first watched this movie not expecting much as i had never really heard much about it and it didn't seem to be particularly acclaimed, but I was pleasantly surprised by it, Connery's performance is solid and the rest of the cast do a good job, there are some exciting scenes in this movie and the settings (outer space, mining colony) are convincing enough to keep you emersed in the story, the story is like a western in space, (which is about all I heard of this before I saw it),though its not particularly original and doesn't try to be spectacular, it is an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours and good fun for Connery fans to see him kicking arse back in the days.
