A rose in the midst of a hurricane!
6 March 1999 | by Artemis-9See all my reviews

The rose is this heart-felt comedy, the hurricane the predatory distributors that may have shortened it from the original 118 minutes, that won the official tag of Quality Film by the Portuguese culture department. A bunch of roses are the women wrestlers, including Faith Minton, who perform as true stars, not only in their athletic sport, but also in the depiction of daily dramas outside of the ring. Depardieu proves, among so many women, that he is a great actor, in a difficult character he defends extremely well. A film that should be watched by all couples, before visiting a marriage counsellor!
