There is no sex, but some partial nudity. A painting of a nude woman is seen in the background showing bare breasts.
There is a recurring line, "The day a guy can't take off his own pants is the day he ain't a man."
A boy tries to take off his drunken father's pants off, but he does it for him. The father also takes the boy's shirt off.
Champ is seen shirtless for a lot of scenes as are other boxers.
Champ and T. J. decide to go for a swim and strip down to their underwear, T. J. reveals his butt, and Champ reminds him not to remove his underwear or he'll be caught for public nudity.

The film has some boxing scenes. The concluding fight has a fair amount of bleeding from head wounds incurred during the fight with some blood splatter and spread of blood.
A horse abruptly falls down and gets cut. At first, she's thought to be dead, but it turns out to be a superficial wound. We see the wound is bleeding.
Champ gets mad at a man and begins beating him up. This results in a riot which leads to him being arrested.
A man slaps a boy.
A man punches a jail wall pretty hard.
