Trivia

At 3 minutes and 54 seconds into the film, the lights go off upstairs where Michael's sister and her boyfriend are. The boyfriend is heard saying goodnight to her from the stairs at the 5 minute mark, leaving only 1 minute and 6 seconds for them to have slept together. See more »

Goofs

When Annie and Laurie are walking home after school, Laurie spies Michael Myers standing by a hedge - it is clear he is wearing his signature white Shatner mask. Later, Laurie gets home and looks out of her bedroom window to see Michael Myers near a clothes line in the back garden looking at her - it is clear that he has on his striking signature mask yet again. What is clearly at least an hour later (if not more), Annie picks Laurie up to take her to their babysitting jobs for the night and while they are on the road, they spy Annie's father (the sheriff) who is attending a hardware store robbery where a mask and some rope had just recently been stolen - the alarms are still going off as Annie parks nearby to talk with her father. This time line makes no sense as the robbery would had to have occurred at least an hour previously for Myers to have had time to follow Laurie and have the mask for her to see him wearing it so it would make no sense for the alarms to still be going off and for the police to have just arrived at the scene. Quotes

Lynda: So Annie, are we still on for tonight?
Annie: I wouldn't want to get you in deep trouble, Lynda!
Lynda: Oh, come on, Annie! Bob and I have been planning it for weeks.
Annie: All right, the Wallaces leave at seven.
Laurie: I'm babysitting the Doyles, it's two houses down. We can keep each other company!
Annie: Oh, terrific. I've got three choices: watch the kid sleep, listen to Lynda screw around, or talk to you!

Outstanding

Halloween(1978)stars a very young Jamie Lee Curtis, the late Donald Pleasance, and, among others, P.J. Soles(the cap-brat from Carrie). The story centers around the demented/catatonic-schizophrenic Michael Myers and the brutal, cold-blooded murder of his oldest sister in 1963(done by him). Now it is fifteen years later and Michael has escaped the sanitarium and is headed for Haddonfield, Illinois, home of Laurie Strode(Curtis), his sister who was adopted shortly after the 1963 murder. Laurie has no idea about her past and wanders around with her friends, seemingly free of worry, and unaware that her every step is under careful watch from hiding eyes.

In the long run I am at a loss for words. Everything is here. And it's even terrifying...and a slasher movie, what a combination. Slasher movies, to me, usually aren't scary. But Halloween is. Seriously, if you haven't seen it yet you are really missing out. It's a rare achievement in film history and is one of the best horror movies ever made. It's a perfect 10/10 all the way!!!
