Not up to the Original move
20 June 2008 | by See all my reviews

The show had some potential, but ABC landed a bomb on this one. While the show had some serious eye candy like Jamie Lee Curtis and Melinda Naud, the show could not accomplish the chemistry of the characters from the Cary Grant and Tony Curtis (Jamie Lee's dad). Some interesting characters like the late Jim Varney couldn't save this show. John Astin, a little more serious than his zany Gomez Adams, can't fill Cary Grant's shoes. Richard Gilliland was OK as Lt Holden. Worth a see for a few laughs. The show used a lot of scenes from the original movie. If there are some old salts wanting to see a pink BALAO class sub, don't be upset with this one!
