Sex & Nudity

  • A man engages in a conversation with a woman, as he is trying to make a pass at her. She starts telling him "are you hot?" She puts on her sexy face. It doesn't go any further.
  • A woman asks a man if he's written any sex manuals.
  • A woman starts undressing a man, he pulls his hand in her blouse (at the top) and their kissing, like it's leading to sex. This scene, seems like it lasts for quite sometime (as I was fast forwarding on 2x). No nudity whatsoever.
  • A man ends up attempting to squeeze a cow's nipples for milk. Later on, he comes back onto the train and a man asks him what he's been doing. He answers, "squeezing t-ts."
  • There are cardboard stands that feature women in bikinis on the train and they appear throughout the movie.
  • No Nudity. No Sex (except a passionate kissing scene and some touching and unbuttoning of shirts.

Violence & Gore

  • As mentioned in the Sex & Nudity category, a man sees a dead body on the window. The man has been shot in the head and falls off the train quickly. We see some blood.
  • A very strong man attacks a weaker man and throws him off the train.
  • A man is shot multiple times in the dark. The light is turned on, and we see the man with blood on his face and chest. He dies shortly, but off screen. This is perhaps the film's bloodiest moment.
  • An unarmed man ends up battling against a man with a gun. The unarmed man picks up a spear gun and spears the man, he then falls to his death.
  • On a more humorous note, a sheriff pulls out his gun, but the person in question takes the gun away and aims it at him. The person later threatens the deputy and steals his car, also on a humorous note.
  • A man uses a police car against two other police cars like it was a demolition derby.
  • A car dealer threatens a man with a gun. Another man comes up and knocks him out. They steal a car.
  • A woman is slapped in the face.
  • A man is knocked out with some kind of club.
  • One man gets clubbed in the head (He's alright, but he does get a big gash).
  • A shootout happens in the train. No one gets hurt.

Profanity

  • 1 use of the word bulls--t. 6 uses of the word s--t. B--tard is used around 5-10 times, as are a-- and b--tch. G-dd-mn is used five times, as well as other religious profanities. P--sy is used 4 times. Four uses of the racial slur n-gger. Two uses of the racial slur wh-tey. Two uses of tits. One use of pecker.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Most of the drug and alcohol content occurs at the beginning of the film. Champagne and martinis are referenced and consumed.
  • Some people smoke cigarettes during the first half of the movie.
  • One verbal reference to marijuana. It actually condemns the use of it.
  • By the second half of the film, most, if not all, of the drug content should be over.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film is humorous for the most part, but there are some moments that could still be intense.
  • The dead body on the window could startle younger viewers.
  • Some of the fights and shootouts on the train could be especially intense.
  • Overall, the sexual content and violence alone would warrant a PG-13 in today's society.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The final showdown involves the feds cracking down on the train, and getting involved in a big shootout. Several agents are shot and killed. An engineer is killed, and later, the conductor. One enemy is shot dead. A couple enemies run away. One enemy is shot, but gets his hands on the train. The main antagonist, however, stomps on his hands and takes him off the train.
  • The main antagonist gets the worst death in the film. He shoots someone in a helicopter, but another man takes his place and shoots the antagonist. The upper half of his body ends up limping out of the train. When another train comes straight at him (The camera cuts away before we see anything).
  • The train crashes into a building (No one is hurt).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film's final showdown is the most intense part of the movie. Innocent people are shot and killed, the antagonist gets the film's nastiest death, and the train crashes into a building with a bunch of innocent bystanders inside it.
