A yellow tram lies overturned on the riverbank at the end of the war. Tattered, ragged, homeless men huddle together in a group, load it on rails trying to take it to the remise. A group of people work together to get a broken tram back on the train tracks and head towards Budapest. Along the way, the riders encounter other people who join them on the tram. What started out as only a few people has now become many passengers.
