The actors who portrayed the Lawrence daughters, Kristy McNichol, who portrayed younger daughter Letitia 'Buddy' Lawrence, and Meredith Baxter, who portrayed older daughter Nancy Lawrence Maitland (as Meredith Baxter Birney), both came out as lesbian relatively late in life, while both were in long term romantic relationships, and both approximately 30 years after the end of the "Family" original 1976-1980 production run (2009 in the case of Baxter, and 2012 in the case of McNichol). This was a great wholesome show for all ages. Even though it took place in the 70's, the issues and problems that the family members faced are still relevant today. I have contacted TV Land about bringing it back but received no response. Are there any other stations that would be willing to show it again in syndication ?
