Audio/visual unsynchronised

During the Tokyo game, after Moonpie's been hit, Jonathan E. yells "Over here, over here", but his lip movements in no way match his words. In a subsequent scene, after Moonpie's been hit again, Jonathan says: "Stay close", but again, his lips don't match what he's saying.

Continuity

in the New York game, #3 is seen after he goes "off the board" (riding motorcycle 2) and #2 is also seen in the same manner later in the game.

In the New York game, #9 is left off Houston's board supposedly out of respect for Moonpie. However, another player is seen on the track wearing the Houston #9 shirt during the game.

In the Madrid game, #9 for Madrid is seen taken off the scoreboard (injured or dead) early in the game. Yet, a player wearing that jersey number shows up at least 3 to 5 more times during that first game.

At the beginning of the Madrid game, there is a shot of the crowd just after Jonathan E. takes possession of the ball for the first time; visible in the shot is the scoreboard, reading 1-0 Houston. Neither team has scored as yet.

(at around 30 mins) Jonathan E. is instructing other players. The rear shot of one particular player shows him leaning back resting on his elbows while the front shot shows him leaning back on the palms of his hands.

Plenty of times one of the Houston skaters wears a number 3 shirt. The number 3 shirt should always be worn by a biker.

During the warm-up of the Tokyo game, a wide shot shows the Tokyo players skating in an "Arrowhead" formation (1-2-3-1). But in the following shot, they start descending out of a 1-3-3 formation. Moreover, from the wide shot to the following shot, they 'jump back' from rink sector E to sector C (compare square-shaped letters on rink).

The opening title sequence has James Caan's character (and other team mates) in green jersey but then a moment later he is in orange along with his other team mates.

Factual errors

At the beginning of the match with New York, after in many moments of the movie different characters repeated there would have been "No time limit", the scoreboard shows the countdown (starting from 20.00 mins).

Only one arena was used, but for the match that was supposed to be set in Tokyo the scoreboard still showed "HOU" as the first team. The Japanese are known to be polite, but they would not have put their name of the visiting team up first.

Miscellaneous

At 18min 14secs the center set of drawers under the reception table is so far back they would be difficult to reach. Also, being so far back you would not be able to see what was in the top drawer, and have trouble taking anything out of the draw unless you removed it whole.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

The chanting crowd in Tokyo, Japan mispronounces the name of their city. They chant "To-ki-o" instead of "Tô-kyô." Perhaps in this alternate future, dialect has changed.
