Two small-town young men, drag racer Bo and mechanic Harley, embark on a road trip from Georgia to California with the intention of entering the Grand National Championship drag races in California. But it's not long before the innocent-minded friends realize this journey will bring them more than they bargained for. Trouble greets them in the form of a runaway waitress who insists on traveling with them, a group of high school boys who don't like losing a street race, and a police sergeant who is determined to throw them in jail.
Harley spots a white '57 Chevy Convertible on the side of the road and suggests the windows could be used to replace the yellow hardtop's windows. However, this will not work for both windows. The door glass is the same, but the right rear quarter window was also shot out on the yellow hardtop and it has a distinctly different shape than the window on the convertible and won't fit. This movie is a favorite of mine filled with alot of songs from the 50's. Two men in their late 20's are working on their Chevy to compete in races in the near future. On the way they meet up with a girl, and later have trouble with the law. Alot of good music, and car scenes.
