Storyline

A beautifull and thoroughly modern young French women, Francoise, gets involved with an Israeli agent working in Lybia. The agent is exposed and in order to save his life, he has to be smuggled out of the country in a trunk ("valise"). Francoise and the agent get through a lot of turbulent adventures, in the process of which the thoroughly liberated young woman also seduces a Lybian agent and an Egyptian officer, who also fall wildly in love with here. Resolute Francoise stays in control of the situation and imposes a kind of peaceful coexistence on her three lovers. Written by R. Holsbergen < <rholsbergen@europarl.eu.int>

Great fun by George Lautner and Francis Veber!
11 January 2021 | by jbgeorgesSee all my reviews

This movie is an excellent and light comedy gently mocking racial prejudices between French, Jewish people and Arabs ... The actors are emblematic of the 70s in French cinema. Michel Constantin and the great Jean-Pierre Marielle, too often confined to supporting roles, are both perfect, as well as the magnificent Mireille Darc who plays with all her charm. We wouldn't make this kind of comedies anymore nowadays, politically too incorrect, which is a shame ... Another reason to watch it!
