Although filmed in 1974, the movie wasn't released until 1981 to cash in on Chuck Norris' popularity.

Two versions of this movie are known to exist: The most widely accessible version is a heavily cut 84 minute version dubbed all in English by voice-actors. The other version is the rare original Chinese cut of the film, running approximately 101 minutes, with the Chinese actors talking in Chinese (Mandarin), and the American actors talking in English, mostly using their own voices, and features different dialogue and many extended scenes. Both versions can be found in either the original 2.35:1 aspect ratio, or the pan/scan 1.33:1 version trimmed to fit old TV-screens.
