12 Lowest-Rated TV Shows of 2017-18 Season (Photos)

The 2017-18 television season is in the books, and as usual, some shows performed better than others. Like, better than all of these.

Broadcast’s lowest-rated entertainment series this time around was CBS Saturday show “Ransom,” which our readers have probably never heard of. ABC’s reality competition “The Toy Box” was just one-tenth of a ratings point behind that one among adults 18-49, which is the demographic most-beloved by advertisers.

See how the 12 lowest-rated broadcast TV shows rank by their ratings below. For purposes of this story, we elected not to count shows on The CW, which would have gobbled up a bunch of spots. See the full rankings below.

Ratings: Sunday Night Football Surges, American Music Awards Steady
ABC’s coverage of the American Music Awards on Sunday drew 9.1 million total viewers and a 2.4 demo rating, adding 10 percent more eyeballs versus a year ago while holding steady in the demo.

Leading unto that, The Toy Box (3.5 mil/0.6) ticked up with its sophomore finale.

Over on NBC, Sunday Night Football’s Eagles/Cowboys match-up did 18.8 mil and a 6.2, surging 24 percent from last week’s fast nationals to mark the telecast’s biggest audience since the Sept. 10 season opener and the best demo number since a week after that, on Emmy night.

Shark Tank this Sunday delivered 4.2 million total viewers and a 0.9 demo rating opposite The Walking Dead‘s return, dipping to its second-smallest audience ever while down two tenths to match its all-time demo low.

Opening ABC’s night, The Toy Box (2.3 mil/0.4) and Afv (4.6 mil/0/9) were steady. Come 10 pm, Ten Days in the Valley (2.25 mil/0.4) lost more viewers while holding steady in the demo.
