Otoko wa tsurai yo: Funto hen

A serviceable entry into the franchise- not bad at all, but not much more than decent.

The involvement of Tora's mother is interesting, but surprisingly little is done with it, in the end.

The formula of these movies both frustrates and satisfies, seemingly depending on what mood I'm in. It's nice knowing what to expect and be able to watch something in a relaxed mood, but sometimes I do want some more variation.

We'll see whether that attitude continues to change as the series goes on.
