Paco Martínez Soria's likable vehicle with enjoyable entertainment and big fun
26 October 2020 | by ma-cortesSee all my reviews

Paco Martínez Soria recital displaying his usual sympathy, tics and hilarious skills . Severiano, Paco Martínez Soria, is an old watermelon man who proclaims his conservative morality and his pedestrian ideas, but he had the good idea of selling land , and subsequent building , and he ultimately became a millionaire . However , he goes on his humble life style , simple, with no luxury . He is married a good woman : Julia Caba Alba and they have two children, the Hippie Esteban : José Maria Guillen and the snooty Julia : Maria Bauza who has been studying in London . Son and daughter attempt to educate to their Papa with fateful consequences .

One of the best films that launched Paco Martínez Soria 's career with his typical Aragonés character , a traditional man following old habits , in this one Severiano/Paco Martínez Soria taught their children to behave rightly . As Severiano does everything he can to put things straight , which he finally gets by educating his beloved children . Based on a play : "La educacion de los padres" by José Villar and story by Vicente Coello , Mariano Ozores and Paco Martínez Soria himself . The film is totally delightful from start to finish thanks to this over-the-top actor , as Paco steals the show with his Aragonese accent , and his particular manners as a grumpy and intimate old person . Here Paco is well accompanied by a good cast as the always agreeable Julia Caba Alba , the peculiar Rafael L Somoza , the regular servant Rafaela Carra , and other habitual secondaries such as : Maria Isbert as English teacher , Maximo Valverde , Emilio Laguna, Erasmo Pascual , Luis Barbero, Carmen Cervera, Maria Kosti, Helga Line and Jaime De Mora De Aragon as a fake count .

The motion picture was professionally directed by Pedro Lazaga who made various Paco Martínez Soria vehicles, and this was one of his greatest boxoffice hits and rightly so . Directing to Paco Martinez Soria in the following ones : La Ciudad no es para mi, Abuelo Made in Spain, or Old made in Spain , Padre de la Criatura , Alegre Divorciado, Estoy Hecho un Chaval, Vaya Par de Gemelos . Lazaga was a prolific and underrated filmmaker with whom Paco made nine films , all of them finely acted by this great artist . Lazaga directed a great number of films of all kinds of genres with especial penchant for comedies , such as : La Patrulla de los Once , Los Tramposos, Sabían Demasiado , El Vikingo , No Firmes más Letras Cielo, Vente a Ligar al Oeste , Hasta Matrimonio nos Separe , Fulanita y sus Menganos, La Amante Perfecta , Vota a Gundisalvo , No desearas la mujer de tu projimo, Terapia al Desnudo, Tres Suecas para 3 Rodriguez , 5 Almohadas para una noche , Yo soy Fulana de tal , En La Cresta de la Ola and many others . But Lazaga also directed wartime genre as El frente infinito, Torrepartida , Cuerda de Presos , La Patrulla and Peplum : Seven Spartans and Drama : Apendiendo a morir , La frontera del miedo , Hombre acosado , Campo Bravo , among others . Rating 6.5/10 . The picture will appeal to Paco Martínez Soria fans .
