Storyline

In the spirit of the classic 'My Favorite Wife', but with a mid-twentieth-century spin, airline pilot Jim Carver marries Jessica when he thinks that first wife Ann has died. Movie-of-the-Week hilarity ensues when Ann shows up alive and Jim tries to balance both marriages and households, one with Ann in LA and the other with Jessica in San Francisco. How fortunate that his airline job takes him back and forth between the two cities on a routine basis! Written by Stuart Manewith

Trivia

The set used at the very end where Norman (elevator operator) and his wife are chatting (last scenes of film) was the internal set used in 'I Dream Of Jeannie' as Tony's house. If you remember, Jeannie blinked and changed Tony's interior into a Home Beautiful picture from a magazine. They used that set in the last series when they were married. Take a good look when you next look at the film. Strange they used Larry's old TV set interior. Would have been even stranger if Larry had a scene with Norman on his old set. See more »

Larry Hagman makes a very cute bigamist
28 April 2001 | by aromaticSee all my reviews

Larry Hagman's charm and magnetism are primary reasons to watch the late 60's made-for-TV sex farce about a pilot who is a bigamist. Norman Fell is also marvelous as his landlord, conspirator, and admirer. And both actresses are fine as two very different wives with Peaker clearly coming from a different era. But Hagman's juggling of conscience, aplomb, and lust takes center stage and holds it well throughout the film. Nothing profound here, but much to enjoy.
