At Joe's welcome home party, Joe encounters Bronc in the house, then leaves him standing there to go outside. When he gets outside, his point-of-view is shown, and Bronc is outside with a girl.

Bronc's (L.Q. Jones) hair changes color in scenes of the welcome home party, from black to brown to black again.

During the opening sequences when Joe Lightcloud is "herding" the cattle with the Cadillac, the tires are screeching as he makes sharp turns. As he is on dirt and not pavement, these sounds wouldn't have been heard.

Several times during Joe's welcome home party, the background music from the little country band changes: with one acoustic guitar, turns into a blues-rock band with two electric guitars, and then back again.
