Parbury is coming out of the water, just having been scuba diving, but he is not carrying any fins.
The painting to the left of Francesca's door changes between Parbury's arrival and his departure.

The women have unnaturally dark skins with glaringly obvious tan lines, as if heavily made up. Priscilla's skin colour, in particular, is too dark for someone who has just flown in from the UK.
