Doggie March

I would say that after seeing this granted without subtitles that I really can't recommend it to watch so much. If you are a completist I guess it is OK. The one thing that really bothered me is that the final action sequence had so much falling snow that it was hard not to get a headache. The animation is so-so besides that and the VHS tape I had was pretty washed out.

Of course the story is not based on Chushingura, nor would you want a kid's movie to be - suicidal doggies are just too much! I seems more similar to Jungle Emperor Leo.

I would just get ones like Hakuja Den and Saiyuki instead.
